The Literary Criterion the most influential critical journal in English in India for the past 58 years, apart from generating a critical climate, has introduced American literature, Commonwealth Literature, and promoted Indian writing in English Translation studies and our own ancient traditional critical theories. Its singular objective is to win attention to deserving literary texts especially by making an Indian approach thereby fusing the classical with the contemporary.
It has also brought out more than twenty five special issues some of which are still available for sale.
Annual subscription for the quarterly is – individuals : Rs.500/-, institutions: Rs.800/-; Foreign for both individuals and institutions - $30 + $10 for airmail postage. Some back numbers are available for sale.
